Lately it seems like if I’m not in a reading slump then I am in a blogging slump; and it sucks! For a long time I’ve been really on top of my blogging schedule but then life hands me a sack of lemons and all of a sudden I fall way behind with writing posts because I’m too busy making the proverbial lemonade. Not that I’m complaining... That’s life! And it’s bound to trip me up. But I’m doing my best to move forward, even though the calendar is determined to push up my anxiety levels by letting me know that it is July! So annoying... I’ve always been obsessed with that period, mostly because I cannot fathom how those events took place in the world I live in today. My brain cannot begin to understand the reasoning behind those heinous crimes against humanity; so I think I gravitate towards those books because I don’t want those stories to be forgotten... When I read the synopsis of Wait for Me I knew I was going to read it. But I’ll admit I was very nervous about the story because it sounded like the book would … [Read more...] about WAIT FOR ME BY CAROLINE LEECH | A BOOK REVIEW
As YA books become more and more popular; it’s wonderful to see that extra attention is being given to diverse subjects. I’ve always been interested in reading books aiming to create awareness around mental health because so many people are dealing with the effects of it every single day. Some do so silently, while others suffer for years without ever being diagnosed... I think as readers, it’s so important to make an effort to find books that offer insight on these delicate matters so that we can gain even the slightest shred of understanding that would make a difference somewhere along … [Read more...] about THE STATE OF GRACE BY RACHAEL LUCAS | A BOOK REVIEW
